Stump Grinding & Removal
Unfortunately many gardens have tree stumps, which get in the way of lawn mowers or spoil the look of a well tended area. We can remove the stump with our stump grinder and resoil to allow new growth by other plants.
Crown reduction is done to increase light and reduce wind resistance by the selective removal of branches throughout the canopy of the tree. Many trees become too big over the years and it is essential that the pruning and shaping should be carried out with the greatest of care. Knowledge of the way individual species grow is paramount to everything we do.
Pollarding is a method of pruning which prevents a tree outgrowing its allotted space. There are only certain species of trees, which are suitable for this method. Pollarding is a pruning system in which the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches. It has been common in Europe since medieval times and is practised today in urban areas worldwide, primarily to maintain trees at a predetermined height.
Tree Preservation Orders
Before work commences, our tree surgeons will carry out legal checks to identify whether your trees are covered by Tree Preservation Orders or are in a Conservation Area. We can also submit an application for tree work on your behalf to the local authority, a process that usually takes six to eight weeks.
Tree Planting Services
